School Application

YAY!!! My school application has arrived finally. I am getting ready to apply to go to school at The Autisim Treatment Center of America in Sheffield Mass. My application is due to be postmarked by Feb 19, 2010, then in March I will find out if they will interview me, then in April I find out if I am excepted. If I am excepted I begin class Aug 20, 2010. The class portion is 18 months, followed by an 18 month internship. After all my training is compleated part of the stipulation for getting in is that you agree to stay on as a staff member for no less then 3 years. Is it all worth it you may ask..... yes I think so. In the meantime I have a list of books to read that have been written by people that have or do work there, videos to watch online and dvds to view. Plus they recommend that you volunteer to work with a family in your area that has gone to the center to receive treatment for their family memeber. So I have a lot of work ahead of me to do so that I have a chance at getting into the school. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I go thru this process. I will keep you posted as time goes on.
